CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY OF AUSTIN HOSTS BLOOD DRIVE

SCIENTOLOGY VOLUNTEER MINISTERS TEAM UP WITH THE RED CROSS TO HELP SAVE LIVES

Church member participating!

In alignment with our purpose to help our community, the Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology of Austin recently hosted their first ever Blood Drive together with the Red Cross.

“Our Chapel is meant to be used for community events and services.” says Church executive Liz Seivert. “We are happy and proud to be able to provide the space as well as have several of our members donate.”

Volunteers donating in our custom Chapel.

In the United States, based on recent statistics, only about 3% of the eligible population donate blood. This means blood drives are a vital activity to secure donations.

These donations go to help patients who need blood transfusions for cancer treatment, surgery or blood loss from injures. A single donation can save up to three lives.

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers have partnered with several disaster relief organizations including the Red Cross over several years to bring help to those in need. They travel to wherever disaster strikes as well as work in their communities to improve conditions.

In closing, Liz says, “We will absolutely be continuing to open our building to host this much needed activity!”

We warmly thank the staff of the Red Cross for coming and helping us make this a success.

Keep an eye out for our upcoming events!
