UPLIFT ARTS PRESENTS OPEN MIC NIGHT

Austin’s Monthly Open Mic Night: Where Talent Meets Community

A soulful singer captures the crowd.

Austin’s vibrant arts scene is buzzing, thanks to the monthly Open Mic Night presented by Uplift Arts (a non-profit community organization) and hosted by the Church of Scientology of Austin.

Held on the last Wednesday of every month, this event has quickly become a hot spot for local talent, drawing in 15 to 20 diverse performers who light up the stage with everything from spoken word and rap to dance, piano, R&B, comedy, and even a touch of magic.

This pianist drew everyone into his song and the story he told in it.

But this isn’t just an open mic—it’s a movement. The event was designed with a mission: to unite the community by giving artists a state-of-the-art venue where they can express themselves and be able to perform, for free, to a captivated and friendly audience!

What really sets this event apart is the atmosphere. Regulars rave about how friendly and welcoming the environment is. It’s a place to connect, network, and grow.

One performer said “I love the diversity of the acts!” and another says “the energy of the audience was very inviting”.

So, regardless if you’re a seasoned performer or, just stepping onto the stage for the first time, the crowd is there to support you.
